Tim Tarpey

Tim Tarpey was appointed VP - Regional Sales Manager after more than 10 successful years as a Manager and Sales Executive with the Poughkeepsie branch of Marshall & Sterling, specializing in all lines of commercial insurance programs, providing a broad range of commercial liability coverages, workers’ compensation, risk analysis and loss control services, as well as safety policies and programs.

Tim is licensed by the New York State Insurance Department as both a Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance Broker. His diverse background includes in-depth sales and account management experience with a Fortune 500 company, where he served as District Manager.

Experienced with business-to-business sales, customer service and management, Tim is the recipient of Marshall & Sterling’s 2011 and 2012 Outstanding Sales Performance Awards, and was also the recipient of a Team Player of the Year Award in 2008. In addition, he has received numerous accolades for his outstanding sales and service accomplishments.

Tim holds a Bachelors Degree from SUNY Cortland in New York, and is also active with a number of business and community organizations. Currently, he serves as a board member at the Grace Smith House, and also originated “Team Marshall & Sterling” which walks each year to provide support and awareness for Alzheimer’s Association. Tim is also an active member of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, a supporter of Business Networking International (BNI), and participates in the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” each year.
