Our Insurance Application Process

No matter the value of the horse, it is imperative and highly recommended that you have a licensed veterinarian perform a pre-purchase exam before buying a horse. If you are purchasing insurance for your horse, a vet exam would be required if:

• The value is over $150,000 - varies per company
• The horse is less than 30 days old
• The horse is older than 18 years old - varies per company
• The horse has had previous health issues - varies per company, discuss with the agent
• It is a racehorse

If a vet exam is not performed or required, you may use the Statement of Condition.

Please remember that sending an application to Excalibur Insurance Agency does not constitute binding coverage. Your coverage is only bound when our agent has confirmed receipt of your correctly completed paperwork and has advised you as such. If you are not paying in full, a payment program may be available.
