Track Day Insurance
(HPDE & Driving Event Coverage)
Don’t let track time create coverage gaps.
When you take your car on track, most personal auto policies step aside. Our track day insurance is designed specifically for non-competitive HPDE and driving events, delivering on-track physical damage coverage so you can focus on performance, not paperwork.
This program is administered through On Track Insurance, a Division of Marshall+Sterling.

What Is Track Day & HPDE Insurance?
Track day insurance — also called HPDE, driving event, or DE insurance — provides on-track physical damage coverage for eligible vehicles participating in non-competitive performance driving events.
- High Performance Driver Education (HPDE)
- Driving Events (DE)
- Track day coverage for non-competitive events
- On-track physical damage coverage
- Non-competition events only
- Single-event or annual options
- Designed for vehicles used in track day/HPDE contests
Does Personal Auto Insurance Cover Track Days?
Most personal auto policies exclude coverage for track use, even during non-competitive HPDE or driving events. While your vehicle may be street-legal, coverage often does not apply once it is driven on a racetrack.
Track day insurance is designed to address this gap by providing on-track physical damage coverage when your vehicle is used in approved driving events.

Drivers & Enthusiasts
Street-legal vehicles participating in HPDE or track day events who want vehicle protection while on track.

Frequent Track Participants
Drivers looking for annual track day coverage / annual HPDE coverage to support multiple events over the policy term.

Club & Organized Events
Coverage aligned to structured, non-competitive driving events and participant guidelines.

On-Track Physical Damage Coverage
This program provides on-track physical damage coverage during approved non-competitive events. Coverage focuses on the vehicle itself, helping address the gap where personal auto policies may not respond for track use.
- On-track physical damage coverage during approved non-competitive events
- Terminology coverage: Track day insurance, HPDE insurance, DE insurance, driving event insurance
- Annual non-competition track insurance options for frequent participants
- Agreed value / valuation approach discussed during quoting (where applicable)
Vehicle eligibility and street use
Race cars may be eligible for track day physical damage coverage only. Street driving is typically insured separately under a collector car policy or personal auto policy. No motorcycles are included in this program.
What this program does not cover
This program is designed for non-competitive driving events and does not include:
- Competitive racing coverage
- Motorcycle racing
- Trailer coverage
- Off-track motorsports insurance (program not currently available)
- Facility/operator exposures (separate motorsports facility solutions)
